Ninety-one years ago, women won the right to vote. Suffragettes endured jail time, force feeding and brutality to ensure the passage and ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. The Fayetteville chapter of the National Organization of Women and the Downtown Alliance are sponsoring a "Women's Night Out" in celebration of Women's Equality Day on Friday. The event starts at 6 p.m. downtown and will feature a re-enactment of the 1913 Suffrage parade in Washington, D.C.
